EKU5-T2-40 PV SPD is a DC surge protector specially designed for photovoltaic power systems. The maximum continuous operating voltage is 1000 V DC. These units must be installed in parallel in DC networks to be protected and provide protection in common and different modes. Its installed location is recommended at both ends of the DC power line (solar panel side and inverter/converter side), especially if the line is external and long.

The EKU5-T2-40PV series is a type 2 plug-in multi-pole PV surge protector (SPD) designed for use in photovoltaic solar applications. It is installed on the unidirectional side to protect the end devices in the PV system, such as solar panels and inverters, from the effects of lightning surge currents.
