The DELTACO e-Charge EV-1225 charging cable is suitable for all vehicles with a Type2 socket for those who want to charge via a standard Schuko socket, so-called Mode 2 charging. Charging power up to 3.6 kW. Adjustable charging current between 10A or 16A. Silver-plated connections guarantee good contact and long life. The Type2 connector is equipped with a dust cover to protect it from dust, dirt and moisture during storage. The cable control box has a built-in type A ground fault circuit interrupter and a 6mA DC filter.
The cable is made of TPE material which provides good resistance to oil, abrasion and UV rays. The cable is flexible even in cold weather. Type 2 sockets are now the EU standard, cars from manufacturers e.g. AUDI, BMW, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Tesla, Volkswagen, Volvo all use type 2 sockets.
Charging of the car is monitored via two-way communication between the car and the control box. When the cable is connected to the car, a self-test is performed to ensure that the cable is connected correctly and that the car is ready for charging. The plug in the car is mechanically locked before charging begins and the control box powers the cable.
Protection according to IP 54. The cable control box has a built-in earth fault circuit breaker and DC filter. In the event of a ground fault, the power supply will be switched off. After charging, unlock the car to open the mechanical lock and remove the charging cable plug.Extension cables must not be used. The cable must not be repaired or spliced as this may affect its safety and function.
