How long does it take to charge an electric car at home?

It depends on the wallbox output and the car's battery capacity. At 11 kW and with a typical electric car with a 60 kWh battery, a full charge takes roughly 5 to 6 hours. At 22 kW it is half that. Most people set charging to run overnight and leave with a full battery in the morning.

What is needed for the installation?

A standard 230 V or 400 V home connection depending on the chosen output, a suitable spot in the garage or on the façade, and professional electrical work. We take care of the installation, including assessing your wiring. A building permit is usually not required for family homes.

Can the wallbox be connected to a solar system?

Yes. If you have solar panels and SminnAiBox, the system can send surplus solar energy straight into the car. You charge with your own electricity without setting anything by hand.

Can I track consumption and control charging from my phone?

Yes, both models have a mobile app. You can see charging history and consumption, and start or stop charging remotely. TeltoCharge can also schedule charging for cheaper tariff hours.

What if something goes wrong after the installation?

We monitor the system remotely, so we catch most problems before you notice them. If physical work is needed, our technician comes out. TeltoCharge comes with a 36-month warranty.

Can I get a subsidy for a wallbox?

Subsidies from national and European sources are available for household charging stations. The exact amount depends on the calls currently open. We will help you with the application; you can read more about subsidies here.

What if I need service or want to extend the system later?

We monitor the system remotely 24/7, so we catch most problems before you even notice them. If something needs fixing on site, our technician comes out. And if in a few years you decide to add a battery or more capacity, the system is designed so that it can be extended step by step without replacing the whole installation.

Yes. Both models, TeltoCharge and MaxiCharger, use the Type 2 connector, which is the European standard. They work with every electric car and plug-in hybrid sold on the Slovak market. If you are unsure about your specific model, we will check it for you before you order.
